Description

To engage our online learning community, we will be hosting annual meetings in different regions across Canada to act as a multisectoral lightening rod to inspire and engage those working towards a more inclusive and accessible mental health system. We will have three Regional Meetings in total across Canada; Locations will be Edmonton (West), Toronto (Central), and Halifax (East). Our very first Regional Meeting will be hosted in Toronto (York University), June 13th 2023!

This one-day event will be an opportunity to bring together trainees with both Industry and NGO partners in a intensive problem-based learning meeting, where we will explore: Innovative learning activities related to inclusivity (diverse ways of understanding mental health; diverse populations) and accessibility (innovative technologies that increase reach of mental health interventions) in mental health from a multidisciplinary perspective (particularly psychology, medicine, nursing, social work, rehabilitation sciences, computer sciences); Interactive activities to specifically engage industry, NGO, mental health service organizations who have interest in this area; and Professional development learning opportunities for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career researchers.

We will also be hosting a pre-event networking dinner for DIVERT Fellows the evening before, to allow for local learners and mentees an opportunity to network.

We are still in the midst of planning for this exciting opportunity, so stay tuned for more information to come!
