Join us for a session on the essentials of usability testing with youth in digital mental health. Dr. Lori Wozney, Sun Life Chair in Youth Mental Health, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University will cover practical methods for engaging diverse youth in usability testing, designing effective tests, addressing power dynamics in usability testing, and co-interpreting results with youth to ensure tools provide real value. Whether for apps, online programs, text-messaging interventions or other digital tools, you’ll gain key insights to ensure whatever you are building is more intuitive, relevant, and youth-centered.

Lori Wozney is the Sun Life Chair in Youth Mental Health. She is also an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, at Dalhousie University. As an multidisciplinary scientist at the Centre for Research in Family Health at IWK Health and Scientific Lead for Integrated Youth Services in Nova Scotia she aims to re-think legacy approaches to health service planning putting the focus back on youth and community relevant outcomes, solving practical problems of service delivery, generating new evidence through co-designed research, and leveraging digital innovation equitably.
