01 Information on my stay at the Schulich Executive Learning Centre (ELC)

Please note that if you are flying into Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ), Uber/Cab is the easiest way to get to York. If you would prefer taking public transit from YYZ, consider taking the UP Express Train from Terminal 3 directly to Union Station. You can then take the subway (line 1 – University) North to the York University subway station.

If you flying into Toronto City Airport (Billy Bishop – YTZ), either Uber/Cab, or TTC are good options for transit. Please see below for further instructions.

Please note that airport transfers will be eligible for expense. Keep your receipts.

Coming to the ELC by Uber/Cab (from either Pearson or Billy Bishop City Airport):

AIRPORT PICK UP: Follow signs for “Ride App Pickup” to get to the designated airport pickup area.

Input this address for Uber/Cab: 56 Fine Arts Rd, North York, ON M3J 3M6, or “Executive Learning Centre” and you’re good to go!

Coming to the ELC by TTC (subway):

Head to York University subway station (university line [yellow], one of the last subway stations North on the University side). When you come out of the York University subway station, you will be around a 2-minute walk to the ELC (Hotel).

  1. After exiting building onto York Blvd, turn left.
  2. After reaching the crosswalk, turn right onto Ian Macdonald Blvd.
  3. Cross the crosswalk once more to your left.
  4. After crossing, turn right and continue down Ian Macdonald Blvd until you reach Fine Arts Rd.
  5. Turn left and walk towards the Schulich Hotel. The building will be on your left, right before the sidewalk ends.

Regarding your Stay at the Schulich Hotel

  1. Breakfast is served Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. in the Executive Dining Room.
  2. The Executive Learning Centre at the Schulich School of Business is a non-smoking and scent-free facility. With the exception of medical alert and guide dogs; pets are not permitted.
  3. Kindly note that upon check-in a credit card will be required to cover incidental charges (Telephone, meals, laundry etc.)
  4. Our check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 12 noon. Please let us know in advance if you require your room earlier than our 4 p.m. check-in time and we shall do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability.
  5. As a guest of the Executive Learning Centre, you are welcome to enjoy the use of the Penthouse floor. This level hosts a Fitness Centre, with a full range of equipment including two tread mills, elliptical trainer, recumbent bike, free-weights, exercise ball, stretching mats and shower facilities.
  6. Our Front Desk is the single point of contact for all guest services, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We will be pleased to assist with all of your personal and business needs.
